***This is not a straight drop in application modifications to your transmission will be required. As such once you decide to proceed this is a one way street and your modifications short of you purchasing a used transmission to source a new selector shaft you will be unable to return your transmission to its original form. You will be required in some cases to shave /clearance areas inside the transmission cases to gain the necessary clearance for full functionality. So unless you are equipped and willing to do so do NOT purchase this shifter and cut a hole in your console tunnel and use the rear mounted shifter option we also have available. The side tension detents will also have to be shortened between 1/8-3/16″ off the flat ends is fine depending on the year of your transmission otherwise side/side movement will not be available. Some early model CD# transmission typically found in 2003-2005 transmissions some (but not all) will also have a shift selector rod center height the is higher inside the case that will cause interference and prevent the reverse lockout from function. Unfortunately because most people don’t have VIN tags to isolate the manufacture range because of no tags on the cases or already throwing away their transmission we are still attempting the exact build range for these affected transmissions. Because of this as we have always done we recommend using late model CD transmissions 06+ and JK models which are honestly far superior to the known input shaft and bearing issues that plague the early model CD of cheap junk finds for $300 from the junkyard or your friends cousin half brother hookup deals. If you are unwilling to accept these terms do NOT purchase this shifter. Most of these issues we have been able to overcome but you will have to work through the process by contacting us instead of trying to do it your self. Issue is we built it NOT you so we are the ones who are the source for resolving your issue. Any modded or used shifters will not be returnable no matter the case as this is an item that requires modification in order for it to work. Thus Paypal Policies for functionality do not apply.***
